Patch cord return loss is proving to be the most important measurement to affect the performance of any channel operating with 100 Base T or any bidirectional protocol.

These charts show return loss performance of, first, a DataMax 6 patch cord, and, second, a typical Category 5 cord. The charts illustrate the actual measurements on each pair in a 2 meter cord compared to the DataMax 6 guaranteed limit line.

Only DataMax 6 patch cords are lot tested to assure guaranteed return loss performance. DataMax 6 performance improves the efficiency of higher frequency signaling. Result: fewer bit errors, greater channel throughput, more system margin and less network downtime.
